Victoria Stilwell Positively Dog Trainers are highly educated trainers whose commitment to using only reward-based professional dog training practices matches Victoria’s own.

Sandy has worked personally with Victoria and shares both her passion for positive training and her ability to get great results without using outdated dominance-based techniques.

CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL DOG TRAINER
The CPDT-KA certification is awarded by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, the top independent certifying organization in the industry.

To earn the certification, Sandy passed a 4-hour written exam on all facets of dog training, including ethology, animal husbandry, learning theory, classroom management, and teaching skills—and she completed more than 300 hours of dog training.

Sandy Wishnick, BS, CPDT-KA

Sandy is a certified professional dog trainer, knowledge-assessed (CPDT-KA), a licensed Victoria Stilwell Positively Trainer, an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen evaluator, and a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). She is a graduate of Raising Canine’s Professional Dog Trainer course.

A passionate believer in dog training methods that are grounded in canine behavioral science, Sandy uses leading-edge techniques to change dog behavior quickly and effectively, without any coercion or punishment. She works one on one with clients’ dogs on everything from basic good manners to serious behavior problems.

In addition to her professional certifications, Sandy is a certified therapy dog handler, trainer, and evaluator for Therapy Dogs International (TDI). When she isn’t busy working, she and her two dogs bring comfort to residents in nursing homes and patients in hospitals throughout her Montgomery County community.

Sandy lives in Perkiomenville, PA, with her husband, their two standard poodles, Lizzie and Lucy, three cats, and a cockatiel.
